Juan José Quijano Fernández, was born in Chile on December 2, 1943. He is a Chilean lawyer, professor in mining law, an expert in industrial mining, and a renowned businessman.
Juan José Quijano Fernández is the son of Alfonso Quijano Olivares who is the ex-Minister from the State of Chile, ex-Vice President and Director of the State Bank of Chile. Juan José Quijano Fernández’s mother is Ms. Guadalupe Fernández Ceballos ex-Government official of the town of San Javier where Juan José Quijano Fernández was born and where his grandfather worked in the family-owned wine business.
Juan José Quijano Fernández studied law at the Universidad Católica de Chile and finished in 1971 receiving the title of Lawyer from the Supreme Court of Justice. Juan José Quijano Fernández is a specialist in Foreign Investments, Mining Law and Economic Legislation.
Juan José Quijano Fernández has been a General Manager and Director for several Chilean companies and he was formerly the largest producer of red pears in Chile through his own company, Chilean Gold Fruits Ltd. and Sociedad Huertos del Maule Ltd. that had over 320,000 trees.
To date, Juan José Quijano Fernández is the largest owner of gold sedimentary deposits in Chile with over 250 different mining claims registered in his name. He is the owner of the sedimentary gold deposit known as “Madre de Dios” which is the largest in the country selling gold in the past of over USD $70 million. The reserve in gold of the Madre de Dios project is estimated at more than USD $800 million.
Juan José Quijano Fernández is also the general manager of Medinah Minerals Chile (South America) and Cerro Dorado Chile (South America). Each of these important gold/copper moly porphyry projects are located on the Alto de Lipangue plateau near Santiago, Chile. Juan José Quijano Fernández discovered these mineral deposits in 1977 and sold interests in his companies in 1998-99.

Mr. Chapin currently owns and operates two companies: Chapin & Associates, Professional Business Consultants, a privately held California based entity; and The Chapin Group, Professional Gaming Consultants, a Nevada based company. Concurrently, Mr. Chapin has an active role with a Nevada public company, Medinah Minerals, Inc. Additionally, Mr. Chapin is in an ownership position with mining operations in the country of Chile.
Additionally, Mr. Chapin is a gaming consultant with nearly forty-five years’ gaming experience, including being the former investigative head of Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Gaming/Organized Crime Investigations Unit. His professional experience includes the investigation of unlawful gaming enterprises, money laundering and organized crime infiltration of the gaming industry. Mr. Chapin has taught, conducted seminars, and testified in many local, national, and international countries. Mr. Chapin officially retired from law enforcement in 1992.
Mr. Chapin then formed Chapin & Associates, Professional Business Consultants. He is a highly respected business professional and has extensive experience in a wide array of worldwide business operations. He has been instrumental in providing business solutions to numerous multi-faceted start-up operations as well as those already in operation. Mr. Kirkland is the President and General Manager of Club One Casino, Inc. in Fresno, CA. Mr. Kirkland is responsible for the overseeing the day-to-day operations of the casino and is a 40% owner of Club One Casino’s parent company. Mr. Kirkland has held his ownership position since February 2008 and the General Manager position since June 2009. Mr. Kirkland also owns 50% of GLCR, Inc., a company which operates another card room in California. He sits on the board of the California Gaming Association.
Until June 2011, Mr. Kirkland was a controlling shareholder in Steinway Musical Instruments, the largest manufacturer of musical instruments in the U.S., and served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for 17 years. Steinway generates over $300 million in annual revenue and is publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol: LVB. Mr. Kirkland is member of the Board of Directors, a position he has held since 1996.
In 1994, Mr. Kirkland co-founded Kirkland Messina, Inc. Dana Messina. The firm focused on leveraged buyouts and placed debt and equity securities for companies in a wide range of industries including transactions in the gaming and apparel industries.
In the past, Mr. Kirkland directed corporate turnaround efforts in a variety of industries including: recorded media, aircraft parts, apparel, gaming and trucking.
Early in his career, Mr. Kirkland worked at Drexel Burnham Lambert, an investment bank specializing in high yield securities and Bain & Company, a leading management consulting firm.
Mr. Kirkland received an A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard College and a MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
Mr. Thomas is a seasoned financial professional who has been involved with a broad array of domestic and international financings with extensive experience in analyzing, structuring and negotiating complex projects utilizing the public and private markets for debt and equity funding.
In 2003, Michael Thomas founded MET Capital Advisors, an independent economic and investment research and forecasting firm providing economic, securities and commodities outlooks for several brokerage firms and high net worth investors. Mr. Thomas worked from 1999 to 2002 as head of structured alternative investments for AIG designing new investment products and strategies including launching a global emerging markets infrastructure fund through Citibank.
Since 2005, Mr. Thomas has been an active contributing economist to Dow Jones MarketWatch and Bloomberg News forecasting each week a broad array of economic and market variables; he is also published periodically in SFO Magazine and several other securities and commodity-focused publications.
From 1991 to 2000 Mr. Thomas was head of high grade bonds for SunAmerica, running their $9 billion dollar high grade bond portfolio. Previously, Mr. Thomas headed corporate and private banking teams focused on high yield investing for First Interstate Bank of California and later moved to head up corporate product development from 1986 to 1991; for five years he was a corporate banking and credit officer for Crocker Bank serving as the bank’s specialist in communications and media where he was heavily involved in leveraged buyouts, private equity and multinational financings.
Before entering the investment world, Mr. Thomas spent nearly a decade with Fluor Corporation in their corporate financial staff following several years in project management where he was responsible for cost forecasting and financial affairs for major projects in the Middle East and South America performing engineering and construction for a broad array of natural resource related projects.
Mr. Thomas graduated with business and engineering degrees from the University of Washington; an MBA from the University of Southern California in finance and business economics; and he completed the credit and financial management program at Stanford University Business School.
